គេហទំព័រឈ្មោះ www.thekrsurvivors.news របស់មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជាត្រូវបានទទួលស្គាល់ជាផ្លូវការតាមរយៈប្រកាសលេខ ០៦៨ ព.ស ល.អ ចុះថ្ងៃចន្ទ ១រោច ខែអស្សុជ ឆ្នាំថោះ បញ្ចាស័ក ព.ស ២៥៦៧ ត្រូវនឹងថ្ងៃទី៣០ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០២៣ របស់ក្រសួងព័ត៌មាន។ ចាប់តាំងពីដំណើរការងារស្រាវជ្រាវនៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៩៥ ដោយឈរលើគោលការណ៍សំខាន់ពីររបស់ខ្លួនគឺការចងចាំ និងយុត្តិធម៌ មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជា បានប្រមូលចងក្រងឯកសារអំពីព័ត៌មានទាក់ទងទៅនឹងរបបខ្មែរក្រហមបានជាង១លានឯកសារ ដែលជាស្ថាប័នផ្ទុកឯកសារព័ត៌មានទាក់ទងនឹងរបបខ្មែរក្រហមច្រើនជាងគេនៅក្នុងតំបន់។ ក្រៅតែពីផ្ទុកឯកសារមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជា ក៏ជាស្ថាប័នដែលនាំមុខនៅក្នុងការផ្តល់ព័ត៌មានទាក់ទងនឹងរបបខ្មែរក្រហមទៅកាន់សាធារណជន និង អ្នកស្រាវជ្រាវនានាក្នុងពិភពលោក។

មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជាកំពុងវិវឌ្ឍការងាររបស់ខ្លួនកាន់តែធំបន្តទៅទៀត ដោយឈរលើគោលការណ៍យុត្តិធម៌, ការចងចាំ, សុខភាព, សន្តិភាព និងការអភិវឌ្ឍ ដែលគម្រោងសំខាន់ៗមួយចំនួននឹងត្រូវបានបង្កើតឡើង។ នៅក្នុងចំណោមនោះអង្គភាពព័ត៌មានឌឹញូស៍ (រឿងរ៉ាវរបស់អ្នកនៅរស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហម (D-News: Stories of Khmer Rouge Survivors) ត្រូវបានបង្កើតឡើងដើម្បីបន្តពង្រីកបន្ថែមការផ្សព្វផ្សាយព័ត៌មាន អំពីអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហមឲ្យបានកាន់តែច្រើនបន្តទៅទៀត។ អង្គភាពព័ត៌មាននេះនឹងស្ថិតនៅក្រោមការគ្រប់គ្រងរបស់មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជា ដែលនឹងផ្តោតសំខាន់ទៅលើការផលិតព័ត៌មានទាក់ទងនឹងអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហម និងព័ត៌មាននយោបាយ, សេដ្ឋកិច្ច, ការអប់រំ, សុខភាព និងបញ្ហាសង្គមដែលផ្តល់ជូនចំណេះដឹងដើម្បីបម្រើដល់ យុត្តិធម៌, ការចង់ចាំ, សុខភាព និងការអភិវឌ្ឍ ដើម្បីរក្សាបាននូវសង្គមប្រកបដោយសន្តិភាព និងការផ្សះផ្សាដោយសុខភាពនៅបន្ទាប់ពីអំពើប្រល័យពូជសាសន៍។

ប្រភពព័ត៌មានសំខាន់ៗគឺបានមកពីសាក្សីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រដំបូង ដែលជាអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហមដែលមានវ័យចាប់ពី៦០ឆ្នាំឡើងទៅ ដែលជាអ្នកបានឆ្លងកាត់ផ្ទាល់នៅក្នុងរបបខ្មែរក្រហម ដែលចាំបាច់ត្រូវតែចងក្រង និងផ្សព្វផ្សាយ ដោយហេតុថា នៅក្នុងរយៈពេលមិនយូរនៅពេលខាងមុខ គាត់នឹងមិនមានវត្តមានក្នុងការប្រាប់ពីការពិតដែលគាត់បានឆ្លងគាត់ផ្ទាល់នោះតទៅទៀតទេ។ តួលេខរបស់អ្នកនៅរស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហមកំពុងតែថយចុះជាបន្តបន្ទាប់ដោយសារតែបញ្ហាប្រឈមចំពោះសុខភាពរបស់គាត់។

D-News: Stories of Khmer Rouge Survivors

The two core objectives of the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) are memory and justice since the beginning of its journey in 1995. Since then, DC-Cam has been documenting information relating to the Khmer Rouge Regime for over one million documents that could be said the only institute housing the most documents of this kind in the region. Besides storing the documents, DC-Cam is also a leading organization providing documents relevant to the Khmer Rouge regime to the public, as well as researchers around the globe.

DC-Cam is continuing its work in a wide range of activities that are based on broader objectives: justice, memory, health, peace, and growth. To achieve this, there are some new projects formed. Amongst them, D-News: Stories of Khmer Rouge Survivors (D-News) is initiated to continue the dissemination of more information about Khmer Rouge Survivors.

D-News is a unit under DC-Cam and will mainly focus on producing news content relating to survivors from the Khmer Rouge regime, politics, economy, culture, education, health, and social issues that provide knowledge to serve justice, memory, health, and growth for maintaining social peace and healthy reconciliation after the genocide.

At this point in time, there are many videos, written articles, and commentary about the Khmer Rouge History published on digital media. However, many published contents with no proper references, plagiarism, or untrue facts could exaggerate history. Should audiences not properly balance them or for someone with a fresh knowledge of Khmer Rouge History, those false stories would become the false truth that would harm Human Rights, Democracy, and Reconciliation that surely depend on a clear picture of the past.

The unit’s mission is to carry on the center’s unique means of compiling accurate Khmer Rouge History from primary sources of documents that serve to advance the core values of the ‘right to the truth’ and ‘right to justice’ of the public. Besides documents, we also have the regime’s survivors who also importantly serve to state core values. There were two million people who perished in the Khmer Rouge, however, there were five million survived to tell what they had experienced. Among those five million, which is 33.16% of the total population, many passed away, while some of those who are still alive, their stories still remain unheard and uncovered. Only the survivors who are over 50 could tell meaningful stories. The figure of the Khmer Rouge survivors is declining continuously because of health issues. Because it is also life expectancy in Cambodia is 70, in the near future the survivors will not be present to tell the next generation about their primary experiences. It is thus very crucial that their stories should be recorded and heard by the next generation.

D-News was registered and recognized by the Ministry of Information on October 30th, 2023. Its official homepage is https://www.thekrsurvivors.news/. It is a platform for producing stories of the Khmer Rouge Survivors and is open to all the survivors who also come to share their stories as well. The news content will be in digital forms published on its websites, as well as on social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
